Ice Blockage

In late January 2005 an ice blockage appeared below the lower falls way out by the park entrance on Route 89. This resulted in the park entrance itself being flooded and Route 89 itself being covered with snow and ice. A similar blockage apparently occurred at the base of Ithaca Falls at the same time, but the one on Route 89 was much more serious and resulted in closing the road for four days.
It's not exactly clear to me where the blockage was, but it appears to have been somewhere in the 100 yards or so upstream from the Route 89 bridge over the creek. Here's a shot of the creek just above this bridge.
