Damaged Steps

The steps look at bit crumbly and damaged at the best of times, but after winter ice and spring melt-off, they're more so.
One difference (more noticeable when the picture is blown up to full size) is that one of the wooden guard rail posts is broken off and the chain left dangling. Possible cause are falling ice or the very high water we had this spring (2005).
