Here's Buttermilk Falls after spring rains and snow-melt. The little footbridge is gone – not because it's washed away but because it's removed for about half the year from late autumn through early spring. On the right bank, just above the point where the footbridge would normally be, you can see a red get with a white sign telling people the gorge trail is closed.
